General Configuration
The general configuration section is used for configuring all settings which don't fit into another category:
- IpbWiki Login Settings
- Wiki Login: When set to true, logging in the user on the wiki will also log in the user on the forum (default value: Yes)
- Wiki Logout: When set to true, logging out on the wiki will also log you out on the forum (default=true)
- Wiki Auto Login: When set to true, IpbWiki investigates whether there exists a forum session, if there is such a session then IpbWiki will execute an autologon with the forum session credentials (default=true)
- Redirect registration to forum registration: The standard registration screen used on the wiki is the builtin MediaWiki registration screen. If you prefer that all registration go through the forum registration (because you have custom registration fields for instance) then switch this option to true. A disadvantage of setting this to true is that after registration the user will not be transferred back to the wiki page he was visiting at the moment of registration. (default=false)
- IpbWiki Visuals
- BBCode: If you wish to use BBCode on the wiki (in addition to wiki markup code), switch this option to true (default=true)
- Emoticons: If you wish to use emoticons the same way you use them on the forum, switch this option to true (default=true)
- SpoilerTag: When true, it enables parsing the special bbcode spoiler tag on the wiki (Requires that you install the spoiler mod from Thenab: http://mods.invisionize.com/db/index.php/f/5535) (default=false)
- IpbWiki Cache: MediaWiki comes with a lot of speed improvements in ways of caching, disabling the below caching options will slow down the operations of your wiki, an advantage of switching off the cache is that you will never see an old version of a page/content. The cache comes in two shades which can be switched off indepentely:
- Parser Cache: the parser cache is responsible for caching the actual content of the page. It's recommended to turn the parser cache off if you use dynamic tags such as <ipbwiki_topiclist /> and <ipbwiki_showpost /> on your wiki so that these tags content will be au-courant on each visit. (default=true)
- Page Cache: the page cache is responsible for caching all objects except for the content. It's generally advised to leave this cache on. (default=true).
- IpbWiki Rating System
- Rating System: Turns on the article rating system on a global scale, in addition you will also have to set the 'viewrate' and 'canrate' permissions in the IpbWiki Group Rights section for each group who you want to be able to give ratings to articles. (default=false).
Next Step: Configure Group Access
