IpbWiki Installation

Steps

• Step 1: Install Invision Power Board
• Step 2: Install MediaWiki
• Step 3: Install IpbWiki Core
• Step 4: Install IpbWiki Interface
• Step 5: Configure IpbWiki

Step 3: Install IpbWiki Core for Invision Power Board 2.2

Download IpbWiki Core for Ipb 2.2 from the downloads section and upload the contents of the upload folder to the root of your Invision Power Board installation.

Start the IpbWiki installer by pointing your browser to the root of your Invision Power Board, eg sth like: http://www.yoursite.com/forum/ipbwiki_setup.php

Click on the Start Install button

IpbWiki now installs extra tables and the IpbWiki component in the Invision Power Board database, after a few seconds you should see the following screen:

Delete ipbwiki_setup.php from your Invision Power Board directory and then click on the button Go to forum Admin CP Panel

Make your forum cookies global domain cookies

Log in with your administrator account and then go to the tools and settings section, click on cookies.

Set cookie domain to your domain name preceeded by a . (dot), eg .ipbwiki.com
Set cookie path to / (forward slash)

Configuration of IpbWiki Core

If you wish you can now start configuring IpbWiki Core (or do this at a later time)... (remember that at this point you still need to install IpbWiki Interface)

General Configuration

Select how you would IpbWiki to behave.

Define user group access

Select which rights you wish to grant your forum user groups on the wiki, for now you can just define it for your own user group and define it at a later time for your other user groups.

Click on Edit wiki permissions next to the group that you wish to edit.

and define what you want that group to do.
