IpbWiki Skin Common Properties

This section applies to all skins defined on your Invision Power Board.

  • Enable IpbWiki Skin synchronization: When set to true you let IpbWiki handle the skinning of your wiki. When set to false all other settings in this section are ignored and you let MediaWiki handle the skinning of your wiki. (default=false)
  • Links to show in top menu on the left side: Define the links you wish to show in the button bar on the left side. For each new link use a new line. You can use the keywords #forumlink# and #wikilink# inside your links to have them dynamically replaced by respectively the url of your forum and the url of your wiki.
  • Links to show in top menu on the right side: Define the links you wish to show in the button bar on the right side. For each new link use a new line. The right links use a right to left mechanism, so the first url will be shown on the extreme right. You can use the keywords #forumlink# and #wikilink# inside your links to have them dynamically replaced by respectively the url of your forum and the url of your wiki.
  • Links to show in left menu: Here you define which links you will show in the wiki navigation menu. You have to use mediawiki syntax when filling this section. Use * for a menu title, use ** for an item in a menu, menu links itself are defined with the syntax real_article_name|article_description (for example IpbWiki_Features|Features or http://www.ipbwiki.com/forums|Community Forum)

IpbWiki Skin to be used on the wiki

In this section you define on a per skin basis which type of skin you will use on the wiki.

  • 4 types of skins exist:
    • IpbWiki Ipb Style: your wiki will look like the control panel in Invision Power Board (tabular layout). Be sure to create a pic for "edit article" and store it in the skin image directory as t_edit.gif
    • IpbWiki MediaWiki Style: your wiki will blend the default look of mediawiki (the monobook skin) into the look of your invision power board skin. (tabs for actions and your forum board header). This skin is still in beta.
    • IpbWiki MediaWiki Style Colored: Same look as the IpbWiki MediaWiki Style but in addition it will also fetch the background color of your forum skin, as a side-effect you will not see the turned pages in the background under your board header. This skin is still in beta.
    • Custom Skin: define the name of your MediaWiki Skin you wish to use in the field Custom Skin Name. (for example: MonoBook / Nostalgia / etc...)
  • logo_picture: if your logo is not named logo4.gif then define the full link to the logo you wish to use on the wiki skin. (eg: http://www.ipbwiki.com/forums/style_images/1/logo4.gif)
