Ipb 2.2:Custom Post Title BBCode
From IpbWiki
Custom Post Title BBCode
Give your members and staff an easier way to title a post according to the main idea of the topic by using a simple BBCode that replaces size, color, font-weight, and line-height of the title with a simple BBCode command. This also allows for global synchronization of all post titles as long as all post titles use the TITLE tag.
Follow these simple steps to achieve the desired result. Straightforward and to the point, this tutorial is easy to follow, just like all of my tutorials.
Administration CP Enter the Administration Control Panel (Admin CP) by visiting your forums and instead of browsing the index.php inside your forums' directory, change index.php to admin.php. This will bring you to the screen in which you enter your administrative username and password.
CP Login Enter your administrative username and password (same as your forum username and password)
Management Tab Click on the Management tab at the top of your control panel.
Add New BBCode Click on the Add New BBCode link on the side panel.
Complete the Form Fill in the following values in the according fields:
Custom BBCode Title: Title
Custom BBCode Description: Enter your text after the tag so it is properly titled.
Custom BBCode Example: Welcome to John's Shop!
Custom BBCode Tag: title
Use Option in tag? No
Switch option around? No
Custom BBCode Replacement:
Insert into the editor's 'Insert Special' menu? Yes
Enter 'option' dialogue text None
Enter 'content' dialogue text None
Add BBCode After doing the above step, click on Add BBCode.
Enjoyment and Convenience Encourage your members and staff to use the TITLE BBCode tag for post titles for convenience, flexibility and power. If you ever feel that you'd like to change anything in the title decoration, just edit the BBCode, and it will affect every post. Now that's what I call convenience :)
